3 Ways To Wear a Denim Jacket (Trendy Wednesday Link-up #70)

3 Ways To Wear a Denim Jacket

Last week (and a couple days this week) I took a break from blogging.  I debated whether or not to take a break, since I’ve been blogging nearly everyday for this past year.  I’m glad I stepped away for several days.  I didn’t know how much I needed a break until the end of last week, when I realized I wasn’t as tired as I had been.  My weekday schedule is usually: Work during the day, then spend most of the evening with my family and then blog for about an hour or so at night.  Blogging is my hobby and my outlet…my chance to “get away” and get my mind off everything.  Some women read, others sew, some watch their favorite tv shows, I blog.  Taking a break gave me a chance to rest, refocus and collect new ideas for blogging.

This past weekend the Hubby was off from work, so being I was off fro work too, we accomplished several things around the house.  That being said, it took all my time and I didn’t get a chance to take an outfit photo, plus it has been raining every evening.  Thank goodness, I have two years worth of photos, so I thought I would do a collage of how to wear a denim jacket three ways.

Denim jackets are versatile pieces.  I have two from Old Navy, a light and dark one.  They look great when you wear them with dresses, skirts, casual pants and even white and colored jeans.  They make an excellent “third piece” in an outfit.

This was one of the outfits I wore in Nashville, Tennessee during our family weekend trip for Spring Break.  I wore my Old Navy darker wash denim jacket with my Nordstrom Rack gray v-neck tee (similar), Charming Charlie pink/white scarf (similar), Kate Spade Maise bag, Gap coral-colored ankle-length jeans and Sperry sneakers.

  1. Denim jackets are so versatile … and you have shown it these photos. As a Self Care coach I know it can be challenging to make time for recharging … but it’s crucial to carve out at least 15-20 minutes each day to let your mind recharge – just like our technology devices need to recharge to function at best level. Glad that you took time for yourself … Happy Wednesday, thanks for hosting.
