A couple of weeks ago when my daughter and I were cleaning out our closets, we bagged up some clothes to donate.  She didn’t want her ivory crochet vest anymore, so today I thought I would add it to my fall capsule wardrobe!  I bought it last year for her at Old Navy.  I thought then, when she didn’t want it anymore I would wear it!
 .
One of my favorite things to wear in the fall are vests.  I absolutely love my olive utility vest.  I would wear it everyday if I could!  I added a black sleeveless vest to my capsule.  So, I’m thinking this ivory crochet vest will fit in nicely in my fall capsule as well.
 .
Let me talk about these shoes!  Oh, these shoes!  Ivanka did a fabulous job in designing these shoes.  The leopard print is more beautiful in person.  The first time I wore these flats they rubbed blisters on my heels and on one of my toes.  I’ll be honest in saying, I started to regret purchasing them.  I bought some moleskin sheets to put on the inside of the shoe in case they rubbed again.  I waited a week later and wore them again…no blisters this time and they are broken in!  Now, they are really comfortable and provide that “pop” of leopard when you want to add interest to your outfit!
 .
Were you able to score a free Kendra Scott Rae necklace last week?  That’s where this necklace I’m wearing came from.  KendraScott.com had a flash sale for one day last week.  If you spent $100 you got a free Rae necklace (a $70 value)!  I have been on the fence about ordering a few Kendra Scott pieces.  I’m frugal when it comes to spending a lot of money on an accessory.  I’ve got to really love it and save up for a while to make that big purchase.  I’m glad I waited to buy some Kendra Scott pieces, because I was able to score 2 Rae necklaces!
 .
The secret to getting in on flash sales like these are to get on retailer mailing lists.  I’m not recommending subscribing to every list you see because you’ll be more tempted to shop and plus you’ll be bombarded with emails.  Instead, be choosy about the ones you subscribe to.  I’m not on a lot of retailer mailing lists, but the ones I am on are my favorite stores: J Crew, J Crew Factory, Loft, Madewell, Kendra Scott, Nordstrom and Everlane.  A few of these stores like to hold flash sales, sales that last only 1 day.

  1. What a pleasant surprise to be featured! Definitely made my morning:) Love the color of that top paired with the leopard flats! I feel like that’s the case with all flats- they have to be broken in, but after they are they’re great!

  3. Those leopard flats are gorgeous! I tend to get blisters on my heels from flats unless they are worn in (which means suffering to get to that stage) so I’m quite fussy now when buying them. I’ve never tried using moleskin sheets, sounds like I might need these in my life!
