Black and Grey (Trendy Wednesday Link-up #100)

One of my favorite colors to wear is black.  Why?  It’s a neutral, goes with almost everything in my closet and I feel comfortable wearing it.  Since grey is the same color tone, it goes well with black.  I’ve had this grey marl mockneck sweater from Target for a couple of years.  This year’s version is very similar and I would recommend it if you’re needing to add one to your wardrobe.  They also have a scoopneck version, if you like a lower neckline.  Here, I’m wearing the sweater with a pair of black leggings from Loft that I’ve had for two years.  Because this sweater is the longer tunic-style, you can also wear it jeans or a straight skirt.

My most favorite shoe to wear when it’s cold is boots.  Whether they are ankle boots or tall boots, you can find me wearing them nearly everyday.  I’ve had these Sam Edelman “Penny” black boots since last year.  I actually own about 4 pairs of Sam Edelman shoes: 2 pairs of ankle boots, these tall boots and leopard pumps.  They are so comfortable, I can walk in them all day and I love the styles of shoes.
