Summer is in full swing and I’m telling ya, it is HOT and HUMID here! I live in Alabama and our summers are always hot with a lot of humidity! Do you have similar weather where you live? If you do, you know that wearing clothes that are breathable and lightweight are key to staying cool and dry. My summer capsule wardrobe that I am wearing this summer includes lots of light and airy pieces suitable for the humidity and hot temperatures. Here are a few flatlays photos I took recently before I got dressed the past few days and thought I would share them with you, in case you needed outfit ideas!

I have lots of linen and cotton pieces in my summer capsule wardrobe, since those fabrics are breathable and I feel great wearing them in the summer. I enjoy wearing neutral colors the most, so you will see lots of neutrals in these outfits. During the day I work at home so I am in the air conditioning. I also run errands, go to the grocery store (which is freezing cold sometimes) and my hubby and I go out to eat a few times a week. I mostly like to wear shorts, but will also wear skirts and light pants if I go out where I know the A/C will be cool or cold!

I’m constantly putting on and taking off clothing going from the heat to the frigid AC…also, here in the sunny south! 😆 Couldn’t survive the summer without my linen blazers and cotton t shirts!
