Yea, it’s almost FallI! The leaves are just starting to turn and the humidity is nearly gone. I have officially put away my summer capsule wardrobe and created my Fall capsule.
I live in Alabama so our Fall seasons are mild and usually warm until around October. In the Fall, I wear mostly short sleeve tops and layer them with jackets or cardigans. I have 32 pieces in my capsule, which includes tops, bottoms, layers and shoes, in mostly neutral colors with a mix of classic and trending styles. My capsule wardrobe is based on the French Wardrobe Staples Year-Round Capsule Wardrobe, but I customized it by using pieces I already had in my closet and by adding a few trending styles for the Fall season! I’m showing everything in my own capsule wardrobe in my closet.
For those of you that follow the Classy Yet Trendy blog, you know that I have been using a capsule wardrobe in my closet for several years and am transparent about the outfits I wear. I absolutely love using a capsule wardrobe every season, as it helps me get dressed quickly and easily everyday. A capsule wardrobe is a small set of clothes and shoes, which all mix and match, so you can have dozens of outfit combinations ready to wear. Using a capsule wardrobe lets you focus on more important things in your life and takes the stress away from getting dressed.

My Personal Style & Lifestyle
My full-time job is working at home creating capsule wardrobes and content on my Classy Yet Trendy blog and social media. Since I work at home, I like to wear casual styles like tees, jeans, pants, light layers and comfy shoes. For my lifestyle, it is not feasible to wear dresses or skirts, thus I wear jeans and pants through the week.
My favorite styles are ones that are classic. I always include those in all my capsules. I prefer to wear mostly solid, neutral colors and rarely wear patterns. I do enjoy wearing patterns (my favorite is stripes) and sometimes florals, dots, etc, but I wear solid colors more, so those are the ones I mainly include in my capsule wardrobes.
Since my favorite colors are mostly neutrals and blue, I chose those colors primarily for my color palette! This season, I also added olive.
My Color Palette
For this Fall 2025 season, I chose Black as the base color for my capsule wardrobe. I chose black as my own personal preference, so if you are referencing this post to create your capsule wardrobe for the season, feel free to use your favorite neutral base color (other base colors can be navy, gray, brown, etc).
The capsule wardrobes I share from my own closet every season are clothes that I have in my own closet and is my personal style. Everyone has their own personal style as well as color preference in clothes and may be based on the weather where you live, so your wardrobe may be different from mine. Feel free to use my capsule wardrobes here on the blog as inspiration for creating your own! While I don’t have a guide of outfits for my own personal capsule wardrobes, feel free to follow along on my Instagram account @classyyettrendy, where I share outfits I wear from my capsule wardrobe throughout the season, as well as outfit collages and outfit ideas!
If you need a complete wardrobe for the season, then you may enjoy using one of my “ready to wear” capsule wardrobes in other styles available in the Capsule Wardrobe Store!
How Did I Create This Capsule Wardrobe?
I followed the 4 steps in my blog post, How To Start A Capsule Wardrobe: An Easy 4-Step Visual Guide to create my capsule.
What Is In My Capsule Wardrobe?
Here’s everything in my own Fall 2025 Neutral Casual Capsule Wardrobe. I included 32 tops, bottoms, layeres and shoes in casual styles. When I create a capsule wardrobe, I select my tops first, but you can also start building your capsule by choosing bottoms or shoes first! Here is my capsule wardrobe on my clothes rack.
Here is everything in my own capsule wardrobe, along with shopping links below to either the actual or similar items (in case it is sold out), so you can add them to your closet!

A Bit Of Inspiration For Your Day:
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” – Matthew 25:35-36

I just cleaned out my closet and dove deep getting rid of many of my “perfectly fine” things to help those in a women’s shelter. It was easy to give to help others rather than a generic truck that just shows up. Now I get to rebuild the closet in a way that suits this stage of life. Your post is to timely for this! Thank you so much for the links to the items. It is making it super easy to shop. 🙂
Curious, did you do an RV capsule this summer? I have loved them in the past. You managed to capture how to be functional while outside and still look really put together.
That’s awesome Jenifer! I also enjoy donating my clothes to local charities every time I do a closet clean out. I was wanting to do an RV capsule this summer when I returned from our southwestern road trip, but time flew by before I could do it. Have a wonderful day! 😀❤️
Love this! I am going to try this full set, with some minor adjustments. Do you have monthly outfit card for this capsule?
Thank you Shauna! I don’t have premade outfits since it’s from my closet but I’ll be posting outfits with collages over the next few weeks 😀❤️
Thank YOU for sharing, Leanne! I love your year-round French Foundation capsule! I’m mostly wearing clothing from this capsule and the Athleisure wear capsule. I’m very active and at home during the week but enjoy dressing up a bit in the weekend. I have been known to combine pieces from the two capsules. 😄 Striped shirts with joggers! Classic white shirt with leggings…anyone? 😄
I’m so glad you hear you are enjoying the French capsule! That’s awesome that you customize your capsule by combining the two styles. 😀❤️
This is helpful. I live in VA so the weather is quite similar and fall is an odd season, hard to dress! We are possibly moving to Alabama in the spring, so will be excited to see what you come up with!
