Every season I share everything in my own capsule wardrobe here on the blog. I’ve created my Winter 2025 capsule wardrobe, which includes tops, bottoms, layers and shoes, in all neutral colors. I decided on a mix of athleisure and casual styles, since I want to stay warm and cozy in the cold months. My capsule wardrobe is based on the Simplified Style®: Athleisure Foundation Capsule Wardrobe, plus a few added everyday casual styles.
For those of you that follow the Classy Yet Trendy blog, you know that I have been using a capsule wardrobe in my closet for many years. I absolutely love using a capsule wardrobe every season, as it helps me get dressed quickly and easily everyday. A capsule wardrobe is a small set of clothes and shoes, which all mix and match, so you can have dozens of outfit combinations ready to wear. Using a capsule wardrobe lets you focus on more important things in your life and takes the stress away from getting dressed.
My full-time job is working at home creating capsule wardrobes and content on Classy Yet Trendy. Since I work at home, I like to wear casual styles like jeans, pants, leggings, tops and layers. Because our winter season is mostly mild and our temperatures can fluctuate, I included versatile layers to wear around the house and some to wear when I go out.
I created my capsule wardrobe for my closet based on the Simplified Style®: Athleisure – A Year-Round Foundation Capsule Wardrobe and added a few everyday casual styles. My Color Palette
For this Winter 2025 season, I chose Black as the base color for my capsule wardrobe. I chose black as my own personal preference, so if you are referencing this post to create your capsule wardrobe for the season, feel free to use your favorite neutral base color (other base colors can be navy, gray, brown, etc).
The capsule wardrobes I share from my own closet every season are clothes that I have in my own closet and is my personal style. Everyone has their own personal style as well as color preference in clothes and may be based on the weather where you live, so your wardrobe may be different from mine. Feel free to use my capsule wardrobes here on the blog as inspiration for creating your own!

How Did I Create This Capsule Wardrobe?

When I create a capsule wardrobe, I select my tops first, but you can also start building your capsule by choosing bottoms or shoes first! I used to overthink my wardrobe and pretty much drive myself crazy every morning as I searched for the “best” outfit given what I had. I recently lost a lot of weight (thank you, Ozempic!) and had to rebuy many clothes. I used your capsules to do this, and I have never been more pleased with my wardrobe (and I’m 70). So happy your blog seems to be doing so well, you have totally earned it.
Thank you for this capsule. It is great inspiration for mine which will have navy and grey for base colours. I have light and pale skintone so black can be very harsh even for bottoms and footwear. I have purchased your athleisure year round capsule . It is perfect for me as I am home permanently on disability leave. I wear athleisure at home and then slightly elevated casual for errands and medical appointments. My husband and I live in a rural area so even church and plays/concerts are not very dressy. Pants outfits or dress from Elevated Casual capsule would work. However, in the summer, I love colorful linen and cotton dresses and pants and tops. Look forward to the spring and summer Coastal capsules. There has been a lot of brown and black in fashion lately so hoping for blues in the upcoming seasons.
