Hot, humid weather and getting dressed can be difficult. You step outside looking fresh and five minutes later you’re a sweaty mess. Does this sound familiar? Whether you’re dealing with a sticky summer in the South or just a muggy day, the good news is there are some easy ways to stay cool and still look cute.
I’m planning my summer capsule wardrobe for my closet and created a few outfits to share with you. I’ve got a week of outfits you can use to stay cool and look your best no matter how hot and humid the weather is!
I was kindly gifted the sandals from Dolce Vita, shown in the outfits below. I absolutely love these sandals and will be including both pairs of sandals in my own capsule wardrobe this summer! #dolcevita
The Right Fabrics For Hot & Humid Climates
Wearing the right fabrics suited for hot and humid weather is key! You want to fabrics that are natural will breathe and keep your skin cool. Natural breathable fabrics are textiles made from plant fibers that allow air to circulate, wick moisture away from the body, and help regulate temperature—making them ideal for warm weather or layering.
Linen (flax), cotton and hemp are the most breathable natural fabrics. Rayon, viscose, modal and lyocell (tencel) are also breathable; these fabrics are derived from natural sources but are processed.

You have knocked it out of the park with all the looks. Especially for a woman who resides in SW FL!!!!
I’m so glad you like the outfits Cindy! Have a wonderful day! 😀❤️
I live south of Houston but don”t wear sleeveless in public. I’ve lost lots of weight and my arms are all loose skin. Any ideas for elbow length tops and dresses?
Love the outfits I am so glad I found you!
Keep it up.
God bless you,
Iris Martinez
Thank you Iris! 😀❤️

Sending positive thoughts and prayers as you face this difficult time.
Leanne, I just read your announcement about not publishing the rest of these summer’s capsules. I UNDERSTAND. WE UNDERSTAND. I am, and many others, I’m sure, are with you in spirit. We’ll hold your hand through this. Sending you light! IRC
Leanne, I’ll be praying for you as you go through this season in your life. I’m sorry you’re having to go through this.
Let go and let God. His plan for you will bring you through. Take care of you and surround yourself with love.
Heavenly Father, please give Leanne strength & comfort during this devastating time in her life. Lift her up, protect & guide her through this traumatic time. I pray in Jesus name Amen.
God Bless You and be with you with each breath you take.
Thank you for your honesty and help to enable all of your readers to shine a little brighter.
Holding you close in prayer as you navigate the days and weeks ahead. I remember these days vividly but it is so true that when one door closes, God will open a window of opportunity.
Luke 6:38 says: Give, and it will be given to you: a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” This verse emphasizes the principle of generosity and how the blessings one gives will return abundantly.
You just keep being you despite anyone or anything that changes and He will hold you up and bless you even more!
Oh Leanne, I am so sorry! Please know that I am praying for you.
Lifting you up in many prayers during this challenging time. I’m in the throws of it myself and am reminded of God’s promise, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”. Know you are not alone through this time. The uncertainty can be scary, but God’s got us!
Stay faithful and strong, my dear sister. 🙏🙌💞
Leanne, I’m praying for your strength as you navigate this season of your journey on this earth, you are going to make it through
