Smart Casual Summer Mini Capsule: 11 Pieces, 12 Outfits

Thank you to Kohls and LTK for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

“Smart Casual” is a style that is elevated and polished. This style is easy to wear and anyone can wear it! Many women are wearing smart casual outfits in the workplace. With some companies including “Smart Casual” in their dress codes, getting dressed has become a bit easier. Since smart casual is a bit more relaxed and comfortable than wearing dress suits and dresses to work, we feel more productive!

Smart Casual style combines well-fitting, polished business wear with those of casual attire. For example, Business pieces includes blouses, button-down shirts, blazers, dress pants, skirts and heels. Casual pieces include dark-wash jeans, slim fit tees, flats and chinos.

All the clothes, shoes and accessories in this post are at Kohl’s! Kohl’s is one of my favorite places to shop! I especially like the LC Lauren Conrad, Sonoma Goods For Life, Simply Vera Vera Wang and Croft & Barrow brands. They also carry well known brands like Nine West and Lee. I enjoy shopping in store, plus you can find so much more online!

You can use this capsule on its own OR expand it by adding more pieces from your closet, like a skirt, more pants, a blazer, a cardigan, closed toe pumps and ballet flats!

Here is everything in the mini capsule…

  1. Been following your blog for quite some time. You have an amazing eye for fashion. Love all the outfits you style and find most suitable for the over seventy gals. Many of the pieces are already in my wardrobe because I love classic styles. Thanks for your beautiful blog Leanne. I look forward to every post.

  2. I love all of the outfits! I especially like the white blouse with sleeves with all the bottoms and the scarf. I don’t wear sleeveless much anymore since my arms are quite crepey after a weight loss.

  3. I love the way you put items together in various ways. My style is very similar to yours — classic, chic, smart casual. Thank you for your blog! An idea I thought of since I’m about to enter a new chapter in my life — retirement! How do I take a professional wardrobe and change it into a more casual wardrobe? Thank you!

  4. Linda,

Thank you for your comment. To change a professional wardrobe to a more casual one, you can mix the pieces with casual ones. Some examples: take a pair of your dress pants and add a casual top, like a tee or peasant top, and casual shoes. Wear a blazer with jeans, a T-shirt and either ballet flats or casual sneakers. By wearing one of your professional workwear pieces in a casual outfit, it will change it to smart-casual style or elevated-casual style! 😀❤️

    Leanne.
