The other day as I took my frayed denim out of my closet, I was going to wear my black v-neck short sleeve tee with it.  I wanted to dress the skirt up for work and I knew that just a tee wouldn’t do.  At the end of spring I bought this striped 3/4″ length sleeve top at J. Crew.  What I like about this striped top is that the stripes are a really dark navy, so dark that they almost look black.  When I found it in J. Crew, I had been looking for months for a striped top with this style and dark navy stripes.

So, this past Monday, instead of wearing my tee in my capsule wardrobe, I pulled out the striped top and wore it instead.  When I put it on, I immediately thought of Paris and how I’ve seen this type of striped top all over Pinterest in the Parisian Outfit pins.  To take my outfit up a notch and play on the French theme, I wore my Madewell bandana and my black lace-up flats.  This bandana is perfect!   It’s a beautiful red color is SO soft and is just thin enough that ties just right.  These lace-up flats are still going strong this year!  I bought them several months ago, when I bought my blush-colored ones.  I plan on wearing these black lace-up flats A LOT this fall.  To pull the outfit together, I added my Tory Burch Small York red tote.  This outfit made my Monday a lot better!

As you all know I love capsule wardrobes.  I keep a capsule wardrobe of my own.  Every season my capsule is based on The Essential Capsule Wardrobe seasonal E-Book series I have in my E-Book store, here on ClassyYetTrendy.com.  On these cooler summer days (when the temps aren’t in the 90’s), I’ll be wearing this striped 3/4″ length sleeve top.  I can’t wait to wear it with my white jeans and then wear it with my navy ankle pants.  A striped top like this one is a wardrobe staple for sure!
