For this outfit, I thought I would keep it fairly simple, just the basics. A black mockneck top from Loft (last year’s version), an ivory vest from Old Navy and distressed jeans from Express. All these pieces are from last year, with a new necklace and new leopard flats (which are SO comfortable).
I love basic wardrobe pieces. They can be used in many outfits and never go out of style. When I put together an outfit with basic pieces, like this black top, ivory vest and distressed jeans, it takes me at least half the time to get ready…black, ivory and jeans, simple!
Here’s a sneak peak at what I’m currently working on…a Winter Capsule Wardrobe E-Book! I’ve found 29 basic pieces (clothes and shoes) that you can buy all on-line or in stores and I’ve created 85 outfits! Plus, I’ll explain how to create a capsule wardrobe and include a capsule wardrobe checklist, winter weekend packing guide and a winter week vacation packing guide, all from the 29 pieces! It’s almost ready, so hang tight for details!

Thanks for sharing these beauty blogs to follow! Love in this outfit, especially the Old Navy vest.
LOVE those leopard flats! Hope you can link up with me again this week at Momfluence for Wednesday’s Wearables. Would love to see your gorgeous face! Happy Thanksgiving!
These are all basics like you said but this outfit is still very chic and would be great for a casual Thanksgiving at home too. Those are great jeans and I love your necklace, ballet flats and bag. I might have to get the jeans and ballet shoes at Express, myself.
And congratulations on your e-Book. That is exciting!
Always great linking up here, thanks for hosting. Happy Thanksgiving Leeanne!

Such a cute outfit. I like how you softened the distressed jeans with the neutral colors, funky pendant, and bold flats. Nice combination.
I could not agree with you more about basic pieces. I have found myself staring at things in my closet thinking, “I don’t have a single thing to go with this” or having to wear something with only one or two other pieces because the palette is so particular. Basic staple pieces lets you change up your closet much more. Your e-book sounds fun! How exciting!

It wasn’t too too long ago that I thought basics would equal boring but I was so wrong and in so glad. And I love a basic classic black and white/Ivory. It just doesn’t get much better.
Thanks so much for the feature, Leanne!! Have a great Thanksgiving!
