5. Gap Factory striped vest (not sold online, only in stores)
When the weather turns cooler, layering clothes not only keeps us warm, but also creates an interesting outfit. Puffer vests are great for that. J. Crew Factory’s herringbone vest (number 1 above) is so popular this year, it’s sold out online. If you want this one, my advice is visit their site often to see if it’s in. I had checked last week and the site said it was backordered until October. I checked yesterday and it was available! So, I was able to order it. The only drawback is it’s not eligible for any discounts. I’ve also had my eye on the vest from Gap Factory (number 5 above). It’s similar to the J. Crew vest from last year. I was in a Gap Factory store yesterday and was impressed of the styling and pattern, so I bought it. It fits very well and I was able to use a coupon, plus the sales rep used an in-store promotion to lower the price. If you don’t already do so, sign up for retailers’ emails. They will notify you of sales, plus will send coupons in the emails. I have saved so much money this way. I’ve seen the other vests above in person and in my opinion they are all worth getting. The ones from J. Crew Factory are more expensive, but they are down-filled, so if you’re looking for warmth, you get what you pay for.
This is the Gap Factory vest (not available online, only in stores) paired with J. Crew’s Button Up Shirt and accented with J. Crew Factory’s crystal necklace (similar).
Here I’ve coordinated the Gap Factory vest with Old Navy’s Adore sweater and J. Crew Factory Drop Pendant necklace.
