How To Wear An All Black Holiday Party Outfit | Affordable & Versatile From Gap -

Choosing what to wear to a holiday party can sometimes be overwhelming. You want your outfit to be lovely, but honestly, it can be expensive to get dressed up for one or two times a year. For size reference, my height is 5’9″ and I weigh approximately 170 lbs., have an hourglass figure and I am mid-size. For tops, I typically wear a size Medium (10) or Large (12), depending on the brand and fit of the top (for slim-fit, I usually wear a Large). For bottoms, my normal size is a 12 (depending on the brand and fit of the bottom) OR a 31 waist; a 10-inch high rise fits my waist the best and a 28 inch inseam falls at my ankle, 30 inch inseam is full-length on me. My shoe size is 9 medium or 40EU.

Here are my tips on how to wear an all black holiday party outfit:

Wear different textures – mix up the textures in your outfit by wearing velvet, suede, wool, lace, etc. By wearing different textures in your outfit, you will give your outfit dimension so you can see the pieces individually.
Add jewelry – jewelry can provide “color” to your all-black outfit. Gold, silver and rose gold all look great with black. Choose jewelry with accent pieces that take your outfit up a notch, like diamonds and pearls.
Wear bold lipstick and/or nail polish – Red or pink lipstick in a bold color will also add a bit of color.
