Try-On Session Reviews: Styles In My Closet From Quince – PART 2 (Sweaters, Cardigans, Pants)

Quince is a brand I continue to get questions on, and it seems every time I pop back onto their site they are always adding to their product lineup. I have been a repeat customer of Quince sweaters and pants for about 3 years now and feel that I have a pretty good grasp of which styles I recommend the most. I have featured Quince items in several of my posts, so you can look back and see which ones I have either tried on or included in outfit collages.

Over the years, I have continually added Quince styles to my closet, from their sweaters and cardigans, to their pants and bags. Each one I have received has been of the highest quality and I highly recommend curating your wardrobe with items from Quince. My most favorite items from Quince is their Cashmere! They are the softest cashmere that I have had in my closet over the years and is not itchy at all. They keep you toasty warm but still lets your skin breathe so you don’t overheat.

For size reference: my height is 5’9″ and I weigh approximately 175 lbs., have an hourglass figure and I am mid-size. For tops, I typically wear a size Large (12), depending on the brand and fit of the top. For bottoms, my usual size is a 12, waist 31; a 10-inch high rise fits my waist the best and a 28 inch inseam falls at my ankle, 30 inch inseam is full-length on me. My shoe size is 9 medium or 40EU.

Caring For My Sweaters & Cardigans

I wash my sweaters on the delicate/hand wash cycle in cold water with Woolite Liquid Detergent, then lay flat to dry on my OXO Sweater Folding Drying Rack (I have 2 of these, which are stackable).

This is the crewneck version of the popular Quince $50 Cashmere Sweater in “oatmeal” (size Large). The oatmeal is a lovely cool-tone, light brown color that coordinates well with so many items in my closet! Here I am wearing it with the J. Crew Gwyneth Slip Skirt in “black” (limited sizes) (size Large) and Quince has their 100% Washable Silk Skirt also in black and other colors. I did a loose tuck of the sweater in my skirt to create a loose waistline. I’m also wearing the Gap Belted Double-Faced Wool Coat in “black” (size Large), very comfortable Easy Spirit Loretta Block Heel Boots in “black” (sized up a half size to 9.5 to wear socks with them), these Bombas Half Calf Boot Socks and the Rebecca Minkoff Edie Quilted Chain Bag with the Target Oval Sunglasses and Pavoi Gold Halo Necklace and Pavoi Gold Hoop Earrings.

I have worn the Quince Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Crewneck Sweater in “ivory” (size Large) so many times, yet it still looks new! It has been washed several times, but I don’t wash it everytime I wear it since it is durable material. Since cashmere is naturally odor-resistant, I wash it about every 3 times I wear it, especially if I wear a layer underneath it like a shirt or tee. I added these Quince Ultra-Stretch Ponte Straight Leg Pants in “espresso” a couple of months ago (size Large, 30-inch inseam). They fit exactly like my bootcut style pants in “black” but with a regular, straight leg opening. The brown color tone of the pants coordinates beautifully with the Madewell Sling Crossbody bag in “chocolate raisin” and the Madewell Dimes Kitten Heel boots in “turkish coffee” (sized up a half size to 9.5) / similar boots in “cocoa berry”. This Gap Organic Cotton Denim Classic Shirt in “light wash” (size Large) is my most favorite chambray shirt I have had over the years as it is very soft, fits perfectly, the material weight is spot on and perfect color tone.

This cardigan is new at Quince! It is the 100% Organic Cotton Oversized Cable Cardigan in the “heather brown” color (sized down to a Medium). It is so soft and warm and is more of the trending brown color tone! Since it is an oversized fit, I sized down from my usual size Large to a Medium.

I am also wearing these Madewell Kick Out Crop Jeans (wearing a Tall, size 31), this Orvis Perfect Crew Long Sleeve Tee in “white” (size Large), these very comfy Adidas Sambas sneakers (size 9) and this Madewell Essential Bucket Tote in “black”.

100% Organic Cotton Oversized Cable Cardigan in “heather brown”

OTHER OUTFIT DETAILS:

This is Quince 100% Organic Cotton Oversized Cardigan is so cozy and soft and comes in several colors! I’m wearing it in the “speckled beige” color. I size down to a Medium since it is an oversized fit. I’m wearing it over a monochrome black top and bottom to give it some color contrast. These are the Quince Ultra-Stretch Ponte Bootcut Pants in “black” (size Large, 30-inch inseam) that I have had in my closet for over a year now. They are my most favorite pants to wear!!!

My bag is the Cafune Stance Bag in the “black” color with gold hardware. It is such an elegant bag and elevates any outfit you are wearing.  My boots are Sam Edelman older black short boots, but these Easy Spirit Sydney Boots and Everlane City Boots are very similar.
