Giving Back with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer
A couple of weeks ago ShopStyle Collective contacted me about participating in CFDA’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign. See the Campaign Page on ShopStyle. ShopStyle Collective is a leader amongst affiliate companies for fashion influencers. Mostly all the links to products I feature on my blog and in my capsule wardrobe e-books in online store are ShopStyle Collective links. Members of the ShopStyle Collective community can elect to donate 10% of their affiliate earnings for one week in October (October 17-23) to help raise funds and public awareness of breast cancer. Fashion Targets Breast Cancer® (FTBC), a charitable initiative of the CFDA Foundation, raises funds and public awareness for breast cancer in the U.S. and internationally. This is the 22nd year that the CFDA (Council for Fashion Designers of America Inc.) has partnered with numerous designers.
I felt compelled to participate in this important campaign by donating 10% of my affiliate earnings during that week. A few people I know have battled breast cancer. Earlier this year my mother-in-law passed from cancer. Although it wasn’t breast cancer, it was just as bad. She fought it for two years through radiation treatments and medicine. Even if I can help give a little through my participation in this campaign, I know I can help make a difference to help others battle breast cancer.
Today, I’m featuring the designer Rebecca Minkoff, one of the CFDA members. You can read more on about Rebecca Minkoff as a member of the CFDA HERE. I proud to say I own a few of her bags! What I like about Rebecca Minkoff bags is that even though they have a “trendy” look about them, they are always in style. There’s not a week that goes by that I don’t carry at least one Rebecca Minkoff bag!
Here’s a look back at some of my outfits featuring Rebecca Minkoff handbags:
