Poncho, Denim and Cognac (Trendy Wednesday Link-up #104)
Outfit Details:
white long sleeve tee: J Crew
ivory sweater poncho: Talbots (also love this one and this one)
gold lariat necklace: Kendra Scott
watch: Michael Kors Shop these Michael Kors watches
gold link bracelet: J Crew Factory
dark wash skinny jeans: Paige (My favorite denim brand!) Shop these Paige Jeans
cognac handbag: Rebecca Minkoff c/o Shopbop
cognac ankle boots: Sam Edelman c/o Shopbop
When it’s winter, but I don’t want to wear a heavy coat, I reach for my sweater poncho! This sweater poncho from Talbots is so soft and warm too! I bought it back in the fall when I was planning a couple of additions for my winter capsule wardrobe (see my blog post from this past Monday). Right now it’s sold out in the ivory, but they still have the dark blue color available.
These Paige jeans have become a favorite of mine. They fit like jeggings so they have some stretch making them easy to move around in. If your budget allows it, it’s worth it to invest a little more money in a great pair of jeans that fit well and that you feel good and look good in. They will last a long time. I’ve had these jeans for about 2 years now and they are still going strong in my capsule wardrobe.
Do you have a capsule wardrobe and have a few absolute favorites you feel like you wear over and over? Or, do you have a top or pair of jeans that you absolutely love?

Cognac is seriously the best neutral! It looks so sharp with the white and denim. I have to say, I also LOVE your bag! I love convertible ones like your Rebecca Minkoff that can be carried as a tote or crossbody. So versatile so you really get your money’s worth!

Your poncho looks so soft and comfortable! I think that would be an excellent item!
I’m new to all this but got your ebook a couple of weeks ago and love it!!!! Thank you! So my question is poncho related. I am having a heck of a time finding a less expensive white cable knit poncho. I don’t want to spend more than 50-60 dollars, but don’t want it to be so cheap that it has no longevity in my closet. Any suggestions would help as I have scoured the internet (you’d think it would be easy to find). Thank you and again your book is making dressing myself a breeze!
Love this neutral outfit! Can’t go wrong with white in the winter and it looks so great paired with cognac! So classy! Thanks for hosting!
