Target Dressing Room Try-On Session – Lots of Spring Outfits!

See what I tried on at Target from their Spring 2020 product line and find out what I bought!

The other day I went into Target to see what was new for the Spring season. I saw that they had several new arrivals online, so I wanted to see them in person. I lots of clothes and shoes, so I had to do a try-on session so you all could see everything I found in the store!

I have the majority of my Spring capsule wardrobe put together, but I always like to go to Old Navy and Target to see if there are any new trending pieces I can include!

For size reference, I am 5’9″ and typically wear a Medium or Large in tops and a size 10 in jeans and pants. I wear a size 9 in shoes. For Target clothes, I have to size up to a 12 in jeans/pants and wear either a Medium or Large in tops, depending on the style.

First up, is this pretty Leopard Print Cami (size Small)! The small was tight, but I had to try this on to show you all just how pretty it is! The neutral pattern has a cream background with brown leopard dots. I’m wearing it with my beige cardigan (Loft old, similar one at Target), High Waist Pixie Pants in “In The Navy” and Minnie Ballet Flats in “Royal Tan” from my Spring capsule wardrobe.

I tried on this White V-Neck Cinched Waist Top (size Large) and Modern Slim Cuffed Jeans. This top must be brand new because I’m not seeing it online! It is so pretty and lightweight too. It’s slightly sheer, but if you wear a nude bra, it should be ok. These Modern Slim Cuffed Jeans fit great and they are on clearance for $20.99! These jeans are darling for Spring and you can wear them on into Summer.

Isn’t this the cutest little top?! This V-Neck Tie Front Top in “green” (size Medium) falls right at the waist and looks great with jeans, but you could also wear this with a pair of white pants or jeans or a slim skirt. I’m wearing it with the Modern Slim Cuffed Jeans.

Here is the same top, V-Neck Tie Front Top in “navy stripes (size Medium)! This top would be a cute addition to The Essential Capsule Wardrobe: Spring 2020 Collection! I’m wearing it with the Modern Slim Cuffed Jeans (size 12/13).

The color of this Boat Neck 3/4 Sleeve Tee in “pink” (size Large) caught my eye! It’s like a salmon color, which would be really pretty for the Spring. I loved the length of the sleeves and the fit of the top. I added this Chenille Open Cardigan (size Medium), High Rise Dark Wash Skinny Jeans (these are the long length) and Cutout Cognac Booties (size 9).

This is the same Boat Neck 3/4 Sleeve Tee (size Large) above but is in the “white” stripes. I love the green color of this , which closely resembles a utility jacket. It’s also available in a pretty ivory “white ” color. I’m wearing them with the High Rise Dark Wash Skinny Jeans (these are the long length size 12) and Cutout Cognac Booties.

I found this White Button-up Boyfriend Shirt (size Medium) that is SO soft! It reminds me a lot of Madewell’s version but WAY cheaper. Since it’s the boyfriend style, it’s longer like a tunic shirt, so you can wear it untucked, tied in a knot at the waist or do the half tuck like I did in the photo below. I’m wearing it with the High Rise Dark Wash Skinny Jeans (these are the long length) and Cutout Cognac Booties.

This Blush Tie Dye Top (size Large) is SO PRETTY in person! It has subtle blouson sleeves and a split button neck. If you go to the product page on Target’s site, you can see how this top looks on a few other bloggers! I would have bought it but the size Large was a bit too big and they didn’t have a Medium. I’m wearing it with the High Rise Dark Wash Skinny Jeans (these are the long length) and Cutout Cognac Booties.

I loved this Navy Print Camp Shirt (size Medium)! The material is soft and it has a pretty tiny floral pattern. It also has pleats that go down either side of the shoulders. This shirt comes in 4 patterns (see the another pattern I tried on below). I also tried on these Olive Skinny Jeans (size 12) which fit great!

I loved this Rib Knit Blush Top (size Large) and would have bought it, but since I live in the South, we have warm Spring seasons. If you have a cool Spring season, you may want to grab this top as it fits well and the v-neck style is so feminine! I’m wearing the Olive Skinny Jeans (size 12) and my Minnie Ballet Flats in “Royal Tan”.

I love this Olive Utility Shirt (size Medium)! The material is soft and the color tone is so pretty. I tried it on with these medium wash skinny jeans (no longer available online) and these Espadrilles Flats in “cream” (size 9). I love the leopard ones too!

This is the same shirt as the Navy Print Camp Shirt one above but in Pink Stripes “beige” (size Medium). I tried it on with the Chenille Open Cardigan (size Medium) and the Espadrilles Flats in “cream” (size 9).

Ya’ll, this Raglan Crewneck Pullover in “Pink” (size Medium) was the SOFTEST top ever! The color was so pretty, kind of like a muted salmon color. The Medium was a little snug on me and they didn’t have a Large. They have it available it several colors! I tried it on with the skinny jeans (no longer available online) and Espadrilles Flats in “cream” (size 9).

I was on the fence about which tee to get: v-neck or crewneck. I went with the crewneck, just because I had a v-neck in my previous capsule wardrobe. I loved both of them when I tried them on! The one on the left is the A New Day V-Neck White Tee (size XL) and the one on the right is the A New Day Crewneck White Tee (size XL). The crewneck tee has some ribbing in it which adds a bit of texture! Since it is a slim fitting tee, I sized up to a XL. I tried them on with the skinny jeans (no longer available online) and Espadrilles Flats in “cream” (size 9).

So, which pieces did I buy? I bought the A New Day Crewneck White Tee and the White Button-up Boyfriend Shirt. If I didn’t use a capsule wardrobe, I would have bought a lot more, but I only buy what I need for my closet.
