Neutrals With a Pop of Pink (Trendy Wednesday #144)

| | | |

Neutral colors are my favorites!  My favorite neutral color combo is black, white and gray.  They are perfect to wear on their own, but when you add a pop of pink, it adds a feminine touch to a totally neutral outfit.

Outfit Details:

long sleeve white tee (plus-size option)
sunglasses
silver tassel necklace
gray cashmere sleeveless cardigan (plus-size option)
pink crossbody bag (regular size-shown above) (small size)
black jeans (plus-size option)
black ankle boots (also love these!)

When Nordstrom had their anniversary sale a few months ago, I picked up this gray cashmere sleeveless cardigan.  At first, I had wanted the camel color, but it sold out quickly.  I ended up buying this gray color and I think I love it more than I would have the camel.  I love wearing gray, but as with all color tones, I have to pick the right tone for my skin tone.  I look washed out wearing some gray colors, but colors like this one I’m wearing above is the best color tone for me.  This “perfect” tee from J Crew is just that, it’s a perfect fit!  It’s great to wear with layers like this cardigan, or wear by itself, like with a scarf.

I have the white long sleeve tee as one of the items in all of the capsule wardrobe eBooks so far for the Winter, including the newest in the series…The Workwear Capsule Wardrobe: Winter 2018 CollectionThis eBook was just published yesterday and features a beige faux fur vest, a black velvet blazer and a black plaid skirt.

I’ll be switching payment processors soon for my eBook Store!  There have been a few hiccups lately with the current payment processor, so I’ll be switching to Shopify, one of the largest online ecommerce services!  There will be a shopping cart area if you want to purchase more than one eBook, plus you’ll be able to download your eBook immediately after purchase, plus receive an order email.  It’s Coming Soon!

  1. Love the cardigan! It looks so cozy and comfortable. I’m addicted to that combination these days. So much so that it’s hard to wear snug shirts or jeans and this year all my jeans are feeling snug! Anyway, love the pink purse as well. I have 3 camel or stone colored purses, one black purse and a couple of multi-color print purses. I really want to add solid colors and this color is on my list first! 🙂

  2. I adore neutrals…I’d probably really love Switzerland…LOL This is a great outfit and I love the pop of pink. Best of all you could do it with any color and it would be perfect. Thanks for hosting!

  3. Love the pink and gray. Sophisticated look without trying to hard.

It’s been so fun this week as pkgs come with pieces for my winter capsules. Thanks for all the great ideas and ease of shopping. I’m trying to find a camel sweater without wool,. Any suggestions. Would really love just a cotton one.
