Festive Holiday Capsule Wardrobe: 11 Pieces, 9 Outfits
Do you have several events to attend during the holidays and need to know what to wear? Do you have a Christmas or Holiday party to attend at your job, a Holiday luncheon with friends, a Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch with family? You want to look your best, but you don’t want to buy a whole wardrobe to go everywhere during the holidays.
I have created a festive holiday capsule wardrobe, which includes 11 tops, bottoms, coats and shoes, which will mix and match to create 9 outfits! I included a few classic style pieces you may already have in your closet and your capsule wardrobe, so you can include those pieces in this capsule!
When the holidays are over, you can still wear all the pieces in this holiday capsule, so you don’t waste money on unused clothes or shoes in your closet!
You can use the shopping links below to shop the pieces online for delivery in time for the holidays. If you have similar pieces already in your closet, you can use the ones you have!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
A Bit Of Inspiration For Your Day:
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” – Isaiah 7:14
Thank you for the classic and chic inspiration! Merry Christmas to you and yours.
The holiday capsule is lovely; thank you for sharing it with your followers. Here’s a question: how many capsule wardrobes does your personal collection include? It seems that some of the items in the Holiday capsule are from other capsules (black skirt, gray pants, ecru coat). So if you were to lay out a Total Closet Collection for a full year, how would you engineer it? Decide your lifestyle, your colors, your preferences…and then put it all together to see how it looks? I’m just curious about developing a “capsule expansion theory!” (By the way, I’m an editor–of words–not necessarily clothes!)
These are terrific pieces that will fit into my wardrobe nicely.
Mary,
I usually include 25-29 pieces in my own personal capsule wardrobe. When it comes to creating a capsule wardrobe, I always advise to center it around your lifestyle (work, activities, etc), since that will determine the type of clothes that will be in your capsule. You want to include several neutral color pieces that will be the base of your outfits, then add colors (optional).
