8 Ways To Wear J. Crew’s Juliette Sweater Blazer

A sweater blazer is a style of blazer that feels like a sweater, but is designed like a blazer, with a fold-down collar, straight sleeves, open style (either with or without a button) and a straight hem. Sweater blazers became popular just a few years ago and are still popular. This post features a favorite layer, J. Crew’s Juliette Collarless Sweater Blazer. J. Crew’s Juliette Blazer is a longer length and has a relaxed collar, so it feels more like a cozy cardigan!

J. Crew is one of my most favorite stores and I have several of their styles in my own closet. Their Juliette Collarless Sweater Blazer has been one of their staple pieces for a couple of years. I have it in my closet in the “heather khaki” color and I enjoy wearing it casual and dressy. It is is longer than the traditional blazer, so it feels a bit like a cozy cardigan! Since it has a drapey fit, you may want to size down. I usually wear a large in jackets and coats, bought mine in a size medium, and it is still lightly loose.

Outfit #2: White Tee, Black Pants & Loafers

This is an outfit you can wear to the office. The sweater blazer and loafers dress up this outfit, while being super comfy! If the weather is damp or cold, you could swap the ankle length pants with longer length pants and either wear tall black socks or no-show socks with your loafers.

Here is a dressy outfit you can wear to work or to church, with a sweater and a black midi skirt. I added these taupe color mules to make this outfit slightly casual, but you could dress it up by wearing a pair of these Black Suede Pumps.

Outfit #5: Striped Tee, Black Wash Jeans & Sneakers

I have this exact striped tee, black wash jeans and sneakers in my closet and love wearing them. I’ve actually had this Striped Long Sleeve Artist Tee for several years and it still looks great. On a side note, I extend the life of my clothes by washing them in cold water and hang them to dry. If they need ironing, I lightly iron them to remove the wrinkles. I had been looking to add a pair of black wash jeans to my wardrobe and knew that AG Mari jeans fit my body shape perfectly, so I was excited to find this pair of Black Wash Slim Straight Jeans in “Inked Noir”! I’m wearing these Veja Campo Sneakers again this year. I absolutely love these sneakers and recommend them, as they are very comfortable. I wear short socks with them and my feet stay warm since they are made of leather.

Outfit #6: Cable Sweater, Houndstooth Skirt & Tall Boots

I recently added this Barbour Fairbarn Mix Stitch Sweater (size Medium) to my closet in a recent collaboration with Nordstrom and it is a gorgeous sweater (see the sweater in this post, “Barbour Beadnell Quilted Jacket Review & Buyer’s Guide”). It is an all-cotton sweater, is not itchy at all and is so soft and well made! I created the outfit below with this houndstooth skirt and these Rena brown boots for a lovely Fall outfit!
