How To Style A Matching Top and Skirt 10 Ways
I received an email from a reader a few weeks ago if there was a store that sold tops and bottoms that match. While I haven’t seen stores that offer matching sets (other than a few casual sets on Amazon like these), there is a way to find tops an bottoms that match from your favorite retailer! Keep reading to find out!
Wearing a matching top and skirt is like wearing a dress, but you have the ability to mix and match them with other pieces in your closet! When retailers make a new season of clothes, sometimes they will make multiple styles using the same pattern fabric. They don’t always do this, but if you like the pattern of a top or bottom, try and search for other styles on their website. When you are shopping online on a retailer’s site and find a top or bottom in a pattern that you like, use their search bar and type in the color name and see if they have other styles with the same pattern!
I found this Kohl’s Lauren Conrad Tiered Skirt in the “Navy Disco Dots” color pattern and really like the neutral color and dots pattern. In the Kohl’s search bar, I typed “Navy Disco Dots” and a few other styles are available. This Pleated Scoopneck Top, this Short Sleeve Tee and this Raglan Sleeve Top all are the same pattern. You can wear of the tops and skirt together as a matching set or wearing the top and skirt separately in other outfits!

A Bit Of Inspiration For Your Day:
“The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” – Matthew 28:5-6
Love this! I’m bad about mixing and matching; I tend to wear this particular shirt with those particular pants only. Great visuals and great inspiration!!
Thank you Kristin! 😀💕
These are such great outfit ideas! I immediately ordered the knit pointed ballet flats & the platform espadrilles from Old Navy. I got them today & I cannot believe how good these shoes are! I did size up 1/2 size in each pair of shoes. I cannot believe the cushioning in the footbed of the espadrilles. And the quilted insole of the ballet flats feels so good. An inexpensive way to update my shoe wardrobe for summer! Thank you, Leanne.
I’m glad you like it Ann! 😀❤️
