Try-On Session Reviews: Styling Target's Summer New Arrivals -

As a virtual stylist and fashion influencer, I’m always studying the latest fashions and new arrivals at retailers. When I was browsing Target’s new arrivals online the other day, I found several items that I wanted to try-on and share with you all! While I like trying on things in the store, the availability of their clothes and shoes online is much better. I was able to order several pieces online and they arrived in just a few days!

For size reference, my height is 5’9″ and I weigh approximately 170 lbs., have an hourglass figure and I am mid-size. For tops, I typically wear a size Medium (10) or Large (12), depending on the brand and fit of the top (for slim-fit, I usually wear a Large). For bottoms, my normal size is a 12 (depending on the brand and fit of the bottom) OR a 31 waist; a10-inch high rise fits my waist the best and a 28 inch inseam falls at my ankle, 30 inch inseam is full-length on me. My shoe size is 9 medium or 40EU.

When I was creating my summer capsule wardrobe, I really wanted to include a tailored vest. I tried on a couple vests and they were both too small and tight, so I gave up. I saw this Tailored Vest in “tan striped” (size Large) at Target and ordered it to try on. OMG it fits perfectly and it comes and many sizes and colors! Then I found these High Rise Pleated Shorts in “cream/black pinstripe” (size 12) in the same pattern that also fit great, so I’m definitely keeping both of these! These Tkees Square Toe Lily Sandals have been restocked so I was finally able to grap a pair of these for my summer wardrobe! I’m wearing the “black” color in size 9 (they fit true to size). I also love these Oval Sunglasses in “black” that are only $15 (wearing them in the photos below)!!!

I can’t believe this Ribbed Scoopneck Tee (size Large) is $8!!! I’m wearing the Black color and I also bought it in white! I’m wearing it with the High Rise Pleated Shorts in “cream/black pinstripe” (size 12) and the Tkees Square Toe Lily Sandals in “black” (size 9). I added my J. Crew Skinny Italian Leather Belt in “black” (size Large) currently on sale!

I absolutely LOVE this Rib Knit Midi Bodycon Dress in “black” (size Large)! It is a tank-style dress with stretchiness so it holds its shape. It comes in other colors as well!

This Linen Midi Shirtdress in “cream striped” (size Large) is lovely and I love how soft the Linen/Rayon blend is! If you are shorter than my height (5’9″) this dress may fit you better than it did on me. The drawstring waist sat a little too high for my waist. I LOVE these Buckle Slide Sandals in “beige” (size 9) with the rattan texture and wood buckle! I kept these to wear this summer!

I really love this next dress! It’s the Midi Shirtdress in “cream/black striped” (size Large). It looks much more expensive than its $20 price tag!!! I love the cap sleeves, crewneck and the cotton/modal/spandex fabric blend which is so soft. You can wear it straight like I’m wearing it below or you can dress it up a bit by adding my J. Crew Skinny Italian Leather Belt in “black” (size Large) (shown below). It would be great to wear to work with the belt, a blazer and heels!
