10 Outfits From My Classic Casual Fall 2024 Capsule Wardrobe

Fall is here and I’m sharing 10 outfits from my own Fall capsule wardrobe! My capsule wardrobe includes mostly neutral color closet staples, plus a few pieces in blue and olive green and some on-trend pieces.

Outfit #1

Lady Cardigans are trending again this fall season and I added this Lady Cardigan from Amazon from my closet to my capsule wardrobe. It is a budget buy! I have it in the black and khaki colors. You can wear it buttoned up as a top or you can unbutton it and wear it as a layer over a tee, blouse or shirt! These Cap Toe Flats from Sam Edelman are new to my closet this season. I’m so happy Sam Edelman just released these flats! They are SO COMFY and look similar to the Chanel designer ballet flats.

Mary Jane flats are on-trend this Fall and I really love these Madewell Greta Mary Jane ballet flats. I bought them in the black color to easily coordinate with my outfits. They fit true to size and they come in several other colors! One of my favorite handbag brands is Portland Leather. I recently added this Varley Half Zip Pullover in the “ivory marl” color. It is so soft and cozy and you can wear it by itself with jeans, pants and leggings. You can also add a tee underneath for extra warmth. Clogs are back and are trending for the fall! I used to have these exact shoes back in the 90’s when they were popular then and I loved them. I recently bought these Birkenstock Boston Clogs in the “taupe” color and am excited to wear these lots this season!

Shorter length utility jackets are in style this Fall. I recently added this L.L. Bean Short Utility Jacket in the “deep olive” color to my closet. The length falls at my hips which I really like. I sized down to a Medium and it fits great! I have worn these Frye Ivy Sneakers in “white” for several seasons and they still look great! They are the most comfortable casual sneakers I have had and have worn them on a few vacations! These Wide Leg Pants in “distressed fatigue” adds a bit of color to this outfit. I love the patch pockets which adds detail to the pants! These Sam Edelman Loraine Loafers in “cedarwood” are another pair of shoes I have worn countless times and they are my favorite loafers! They just keep getting more comfy and the neutral color coordinates with so many outfits.

I love button-down shirts, but some of them are stiff. This Abercrombie Poplin Shirt in “blue stripe” is soft and flowy and the blue stripes are lovely in an outfit! The colors are limited, so here is another shirt I recommend from Everlane in the “white/bellweather blue” color; I have it the Everlane shirt in the white color and I love it.
