A Comfy, Elevated Casual Holiday Outfit

This year, the holidays may be a bit different. Not everyone may be dressing up for big parties or gatherings, since we are all social distancing. If you will be having a more intimate gathering with family or instead of traveling for the holidays you will be at home, I have an outfit idea you may want to wear. I’m sharing a comfy and elevated casual outfit in partnership with Nordstrom and rewardStyle.

Nordstrom is one of my most favorite stores to shop! I discovered Nordstrom shortly after I started blogging in 2014 and I buy most of my clothes from there. There are several reasons why I shop at Nordstrom, but the top reason why I consistently shop at Nordstrom is their variety of brands they carry. They also have their own Exclusive Brands like Treasure & Bond, BP., Zella, Chelsea28, Halogen and Leith, just to name several.

Nordstrom also offers free shipping and free returns on ALL orders, so if I am unsure about a size when ordering online, I can order multiple sizes and easily return the ones that do not fit. If you live close to a Nordstrom store, you can choose their curbside pickup option, where you can order online, then pickup your order curbside all from the convenience of your car! The also have The Nordy Club (I’m a member and love it), where you can earn points on all your purchases which turn into credit towards future purchases. They also have their own credit card (I have this too!) where you can conveniently buy your purchases, then pay for them later.

For size reference, I am 5’9″ in height. For tops, I typically wear a size Medium or Large, depending on the brand and style of the top (slim fit I usually wear a Large). For bottoms, my normal size is a size 10. My shoe size is 9.

Dressy Sweater + Leggings + Ankle Boots

This outfit is great to wear if you will be having a small family gathering or spending the holidays at home. The dressy sweater is the Chelsea28 Cowl Neck Sweater in the “pink adobe” color. I LOVE their Chelsea28 clothes and I especially love the “pink adobe” color. It is a soft pink, which is a blush-tone color. This sweater also comes in 3 other colors: brown shitake heather, burgundy stem and olive night. I sized down to a Small in the sweater since it is an oversized fit.

The leggings are Zella Live In High Waist 7/8 Black Leggings (wearing a size Large). These are the BEST leggings ever, in my opinion. I have a pair of these in black and gray colors and wear them A LOT! Zella is Nordstrom’s own athletic style clothes, shoes and accessories line. They have leggings, jogger pants, hoodies, pullovers, socks, beanies, all in modern designs and styles.
