A Bit Of Inspiration For Your Day:
“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” – Nahum 1:7
I’m always want to go with the French Minimalist capsule but default to this one because I cannot do tan/khaki with my deep winter coloring. This one seems to have a good bit of khaki this round…what color would you suggest substituting? For Simplified Essentials, I use the green you’re using here already!
Jessica,
Thank you for your question! I’m not a color analysis or seasons coloring expert, but you might could substitute a light beige or even gray as a neutral color.
I am enjoying all your clothing capsules and wish you would come up with some suitable capsules for older women and plus sizes. No shorts, sleeves on tops and dresses, hems longer and a comfy sturdy shoe.
There are still some oldies that would like to stay in style and look presentable! Keep up your great work!
For what it’s worth, I’m a petite and have a pretty easy (and enjoyable!) time finding pieces that work for the capsule in my own style and size. You can substitute what doesn’t work for you with something that does, like capris instead of shorts, and still reap the benefit of the capsules!
Thank you for your reply! I use gray in the Simplified Essentials and that is the perfect solution for me! Thanks again!
I’m a similar boat as you, Grace. After some experimenting, I’ve found that Leanne’s teacher wardrobe is perfect – there aren’t any shorts or heels and the clothes are comfy and easy to move around in. I’m plus size too, and even though it says there aren’t plus sizes in the ebook, JCrew goes up to a 3X and many of the other retailers, like Target, Old Navy, Loft, etc. offer up to 2X in straight sizes but then also sell the same pieces in plus sizes. I didn’t have any trouble finding the pieces in my size. 🙂
