Spring & Summer Shirts with Grayson

Grayson Sizing
Grayson’s sizing chart is different than the industry standard. Instead of small, medium, large, etc they have numbered sizing. It’s super easy to determine your size! Just match up your height and weight to determine your size. My Grayson size is usually a “03”.

How I Care For My Grayson Shirts
I wash mostly all my clothes in the washing machine on the casual/delicate cycle in cold water (unless they are special fabrics like cashmere or wool), using regular Gain brand detergent and add a bit of liquid fabric softener as well. Then, I hang all my clothes to dry and iron/steam as needed. Several years ago, I used to dry all my clothes in the dryer. I found that my clothes would shrink, loose their elasticity and the colors would fade. Now, by washing my clothes in cold water and avoiding the heat of the dryer, my clothes last for several years and hold their shape and color.
For size reference, I am 5’9″ in height and have an hourglass body shape. For tops, I typically wear a size Medium, but size up to a Large sometimes, depending on the brand and style of the top. For bottoms, my normal size is a size 10 / 30 waist. My shoe size is a 9 medium width. For outerwear, I wear mostly a size Large, but if it is an oversized style I will size down to a Medium.

The first shirt I tried on is The Hero Tissue Cotton Shirt in the “white” color (I’m wearing a size “03”). This is a lightweight long sleeve shirt, so you can wear it multiple ways! I can see myself wearing this shirt now with pants in the Spring (like I styled it below) on cool summer nights with shorts and open over a dress at the beach! You can also wear this shirt to work, styled underneath a cardigan or blazer with pants and skirts. The shirttail hem is long enough that you can do a front tie (shown below)!

The Hero Liquid Denim Shirt in “Classic Light Wash”
One of my favorite style shirts to wear is a chambray shirt. I am so glad Grayson made this shirt! I’m wearing The Hero Liquid Denim Shirt in the “classic light wash” color (I’m wearing a size “03”) and it also comes in a “classic indigo wash”, which is a darker chambray color. It fits like the white shirt above, since it is in “The Hero” style. The material has a chambray consistency and this shirt feels lightweight and comfortable. To style this shirt below, I rolled up the sleeves a bit and did a front tuck for a casual look.

Grayson has a few new colors in The Artist Tumbled Linen Shirt, this is the “Periwinkle Blue” color (I sized down to a “02”). I love this color, which will be gorgeous this Summer! It also comes in other colors to choose from! This is a popover shirt, which has three buttons that go partially down the front of the shirt. I love how the collar lays down and the style of the cuffed short sleeves. This is a light and airy shirt that is one of my favorite shirts to wear!
