Athleisure Try-On Session Reviews: Nordstrom

Do you like to wear athleisure outfits? I like to wear athleisure outfits some days when I work for long hours at my desk and sometimes on the weekend. My favorite time of the year to wear athleisure is in the cold months, since the fabrics feel warm, cozy and comfy! I was looking to replace a few athleisure pieces in my closet, so the first place I looked was at Nordstrom. I found several clothes, placed an order and within a few days my order arrived!

Nordstrom carries many brands, so it is convenient to shop online for whatever you are looking for. The brands I’m wearing in this post are Zella, Spanx, Sweaty Betty, Joules and the Nordstrom-exclusive brand. It’s easy to order online and have your order shipped to you for free, plus if anything doesn’t fit, they offer free returns. Nordstrom also has their own exclusive, “Nordstrom Made” brands that you won’t find anywhere else and includes Caslon, Zella, Treasure & Bond, Halogen and more!

I wanted to show how everything fit and all the pieces can easily mix and match with one another, so I snapped photos to share with you all! I picked out two vests that were similar in color tone and will be keeping only one; I love both styles and colors so it will be hard to choose just one!

For size reference, my height is 5’9″ and I weigh approximately 165 lbs. For tops, I typically wear a size Medium (10) or Large (12), depending on the brand and fit of the top (for slim-fit, I usually wear a Large). For bottoms, my normal size is a 10 OR a 30/31 waist, a 10-inch high rise fits my waist the best and a 28 inch inseam comes to my ankle. My shoe size is 9 medium or 40EU.

Here is everything I will try on…

The first pieces I tried on were these Sweaty Betty Power Kick Flare Trousers (size Large) and this Joules Furlton Puffer Vest (size 12). I already had this Halogen Black Long Sleeve Tee (size Large) and these Nike React Infinity Flyknit Sneakers (size 9.5) in my closet, so I added these to my outfit. I’m wearing my jewelry I wear nearly everyday, my Nordstrom CZ Stud Earrings and my Nordstrom Pave Halo Necklace.

OMG I LOVE these Sweaty Betty Power Kick Flare Trousers! The flare trend is so popular right now and these hit the mark! They are like leggings at the top, then the bottom of the legs flare out just the right amount. They are awesome! I love the color of this Joules Furlton Puffer Vest! It is a neutral brownish-gray color and goes with so many pieces. You could also wear it with jeans and casual pants. For those of you who have mild winters, this would be a great vest to wear! I can’t tell you how many times I have worn my Halogen Long Sleeve Tees and they still look great. They are a soft Tencel blend and are so comfy. I have them in the black and striped colors. These Nike React Infinity Flyknit Sneakers are very comfy too. I have had these sneakers for a couple of years and enjoy wearing them. They look great with black colors in my athleisure outfits!

I tried on this Zella Crewneck Sweatshirt in the “ivory dove heather” color (size Large). It is a comfy sweatshirt with rib trim and has a heathered look to the material. I’m also wearing the Sweaty Betty Power Kick Flare Trousers (Large) and the Nike React Infinity Flyknit Sneakers (size 9.5). This sweatshirt is a touch of a shorter length than a standard sweatshirt, which defines my waist and gives a balanced silouette. I really like how this sweatshirt looks with these flared leggings!

I really like how unique this Spanx Dolman Sleeve Top in the “Oat” color (size Large) is! It is tunic length sweatshirt with 3/4 length sleeves and comes in 4 colors. It is a relaxed style and is so cozy! I really want the black color, as it would work better with my skin tone, so I am going to exchange the colors. I tried on the Zella Studio Luxe Leggings in the “black” color (size Large) with the tunic. The seams on the legs have contrast stitching which adds interest to the design!

It is easy to wear my Bernardo Packable Hooded Puffer Jacket (size Large) with this outfit…

Next, I tried on this Nordstrom White Ribbed Long Sleeve Tee (size Large). It is a slim fit tee and fits perfectly. The length is just right to either leave untucked or do a front tuck. I’m wearing it underneath the Joules Furlton Puffer Vest (size 12) and with the Zella Studio Luxe Leggings in the “black” color (size Large) and my Nike React Infinity Flyknit Sneakers (size 9.5).

OMG, I really love this Sweaty Betty Revive Hoodie in the “light gray marl” color (size Medium)! It is a tunic length style sweatshirt in a unique style. I like how it looks with leggings and you could also wear this top with jeans. This top comes in 4 colors. I’m also wearing the Zella Studio Luxe Leggings in the “black” color (size Large) and my Veja Campo Sneakers (size 40); the most comfortable leather sneakers ever! I’m wearing the black logo and also have them in the natural suede color logo.

Since I enjoy wearing my Zella Live In Pocket Joggers (mine are black in the Large size), I added them to the Zella Hybrid Performance Vest in the “gray dapple” color (size Large) and my Halogen Black Long Sleeve Tee (size Large). I’m also wearing my Nike React Infinity Flyknit Sneakers (size 9.5).

I replaced the top and vest with my Halogen Striped Long Sleeve Tee (size Large) that I have had for a few years and added my Bernardo Packable Hooded Puffer Jacket (size Large). I’m also wearing the Zella Live In Pocket Joggers (size Large) and my Veja Campo Sneakers (size 40).

Next, I removed the coat and tee and added the Zella Crewneck Sweatshirt in the “ivory dove heather” color (size Large). I did a front tuck to show the waist line of the joggers. These are the Zella Live In Pocket Joggers (size Large) and my Veja Campo Sneakers (size 40).
