Happy New Year Everyone! ย How was 2015? ย Are you ready for a new year? ย I sure am! ย I’m ready for new goals, new possibilities and new resolutions!
It’s a tradition to set your New Year Resolutions. ย What’s yours? ย Here are 3 of my resolutions:
Practice Simplicity
Life is simple, but it’s what all we do that makes it all seem complicated. ย Life is about living and enjoying the things in it, whether it be family, relationships or nature, just to name a few. ย I’m going to focus on those things and everything else will fall into place.
Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff
Before my boss retired a few years ago, he would tell me, “Don’t sweat the small stuff, because it’s all small stuff.” ย In this busy world, we tend to be overworked and overstressed. ย We just have to remind ourselves to slow down and convince ourselves that we’re not Super Woman! ย We can’t do it all. ย Sometimes I get so caught up in my full-time job, blogging and being a wife and mom. ย I love it all, but sometimes it seems like a juggling act. ย Being a divorcedย mom who remarried, the responsibilities of raising my daughter falls mostly on me. ย Sometimes just that part in my life gets overwhelming. ย When things get complicated, I’m going to stop more and focus on the things that reallyย matter.
Don’t Second-guess Myself
Do you everย second-guess yourself? ย We have an idea and want to set a goal, but then we start second-guessing ourselves and it seems that it hinders us from accomplishing that goal. ย Sometimes I’ll think, “what if I fail?”, or “what if this turns out bad”. ย Sometimes I’m afraid of failing, but I’m learning to just jump in and do it. ย If I don’t succeed, then I realize I certainly tried. ย A recent goal that I’ve accomplished is writing my first E-Book. ย I had an idea to write an E-Book about usingย a capsule wardrobe to get ready faster and save money on clothes. ย In the beginning I thought, “how am I going to write this”, “what tools will I use”, and “will it even sell”? ย I took one step at a time. ย I used the internet to research how to write an E-Book and what tools others used in writing their E-Books. ย Then, I started writing my E-Book. ย When I was finished, I knew it would help women get dressed quickly and more easily. ย It made me feel good to know I could help others out, simplifying their lives by helping them get dressed everyday. ย When it started selling several copies a day, I was thrilled! ย (Thank you for those to have purchased my E-Book) ย My resolution is to not second-guess myself and just go with it! ย We all can accomplish great things if we just jump in and do it! ย See the link below to read more about my E-Book:
