Shades of Brown (Trendy Wednesday Link-up #106)
When I wear a solid color sweater and jeans, the best way to make my outfit more interesting is to add a trendy scarf! Scarves and other accessories are an inexpensive way to add color and patterns to your outfits. When I buy my clothes and shoes, I invest a little more and get pieces that will last me for a few years. I usually buy more solid colors than patterns, as they mix well with other clothes in my closet.
This leopard scarf (similar) is new this season. It’s currently sold out at Nordstrom, but this one and this one are beautiful! I bought my jeans and cashmere sweater in the Fall. They are both in my Winter capsule wardrobe. I had never owned a cashmere sweater and let me tell you, it is SOFT! The main reason I haven’t bought one before now is that most of them are dry clean only, and I rarely have anything dry cleaned. But, this cashmere sweater is hand washable! The color I’m wearing is sold out but you can get it at Nordstrom in Gray or Pink.

Oh there is nothing better than a cozy cashmere sweater for timeless style! And a leopard scarf is a must have for every girl, in my opinion! This a great look. Easy and classic!

Yep. Accessories make or break an outfit. So I totally agree with adding a bold accessory to a simple out. Choosing the bold animal print scarf to pop against the light tan sweater was the right move. Also, love the cognac purse and booties.
I didn’t own anything cashmere until about a year ago and now I’m converted, even though it’s more effort to clean. I love the scarf – a little bit of leopard print is great for enhancing an outfit!
