Wear Now, Wear Later: Summer To Fall (TW #130)

| |

To make the most of your wardrobe, you include pieces that can be worn in several outfits. Ā That’s what makes a capsule wardrobe so efficient and easy on your wallet. Ā There are those special items that can transition between seasons, letting you get the most wear. Ā A great item to transition between seasons is one that can be worn by itself or underneath another item.

Wear Now, Wear Later- Summer To Fall

Summer Outfit: sleeveless ruffle top // pencil skirt // earrings // black bagĀ under $17! // heels

Fall Outfit:Ā sleeveless ruffle top // scarf //black bag // jacket // jeans // bootiesĀ on sale!

I’ve found aĀ sleeveless ruffle top that is a soft powder pink color. Ā This top can be worn in many outfits, nearly year round. Ā While it is still Summer, it can be worn with a black pencil skirt (shown above) or with distressed jeans, a denim skirt, twill shorts or ankle pants. Ā As the weather turns cooler, it can be worn under a leather jacketĀ and black jeans (shown above). Ā  Also, you can add a cardigan and a suede skirt with a pair of boots.

The Summer Outfit: This outfit is simple, yet makes a statement! Ā The deep rose color of the sleeveless ruffle top goes well with the solid black pencil skirt. Ā If you don’t have a black pencil skirt in your wardrobe, you need one! Ā This is a great piece to wear on a date, to a luncheon or to work. Ā It’s a timeless and classic piece that will always be in style. Ā Tassel earrings are on-trend and these beaded tassel earrings go well with the top. Ā This black pair would also look fabulous! Ā These leopard print sandal heels are perfect for summer. Ā Since leopard is considered a neutral, it goes well with this outfit. Ā Add this quilted black bag for a dressy look.

The Fall Outfit: This outfit is edgy, yet feminine! Ā The sleeveless ruffle top adds a bit of color, along with the leopard scarf, which makes this outfit pop! Ā Even though the leather jacket and jeans are both black, the texture of the leather and the soft texture of the jeans go well together. Ā Add black ankle boots for a neutral finish to the outfit.

  1. Me to Pam! Fall is my favorite time of year for dressing in layers and fall colors.

  2. Can’t wait for fall! I live in Texas and am ready for sweater weather. I also purchased a sweater and closed shoes in the Nordstrom Sale and can’t wait to wear them.
I noticed the black jeans you posted. In the past, when I have tried H&M jeans, I felt like they were not made for “real” women (aka women with hips). I would love to hear your experience with sizes, fits, and styles. Actually, it would be great to hear your experience across brands. I am trying to find super comfy, stretchy jeans to wear while working from home to elevate my style a bit. But I sit all day long so comfort is #1.
    Thanks for your posts!

  3. I have a black leather jacket that I got about 6 months ago and I love it. Literally every girl under 25 in Spain (where I live) has one. I love the mixture of blush and black you have here too!
