It’s Fall and it’s a given that my utility vest and utility jacket are in my capsule wardrobe! This utility vest is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I love the fit, fabric and color! I bought this one two years ago from Macy’s. They have the same utility vest again this year. It also comes in a rust color which is a nice alternative. At a price point of $69.50, it’s a great wardrobe investment. What I like about this vest is that it has a drawstring waistband, which is great for creating a silhouette around your waistline for a slimming effect. This plus-size option is similar, but a little more expensive, but in my opinion is worth it. If you are looking to add a utility vest or utility jacket to your wardrobe, this blog post from Monday, How To Wear Military Style has all the info you need, plus a few outfit ideas!
I added this white scoopneck pocket tee to my capsule wardrobe this Fall. I bought it in the white and blush colors. They are so soft and fit well too. What I like about the scoopneck on these tees is that I can wear necklaces and I don’t have to worry about them slipping in behind the tee. Layered necklaces like this one I just bought are perfect for wearing with scoopneck tees.
These DL1961 Florence Instasculpt Skinny Jeans are new to my capsule wardrobe this season. My other black jeans were starting to fade after so many times wearing them, so I thought it was time for a replacement. I had read good reviews on these jeans so I invested in them. I’m so glad I did. I’m 5’9″ tall, so most jeans come just below my ankles as a normal length. These jeans cover my ankles to give enough length for wearing flats like in today’s photos, or I can roll them up a bit and wear them with ankle boots. I love the fabric on these jeans! They live up to their name “Instasculpt”, as they stretch, yet hold their shape all day. They are on the higher priced side, but still within reason for a good investment. If you are looking for a budget-friendly jean with the same sculpting ability, I had these Old Navy Built-In Sculpt Jeans prior to my DL1961 pair and loved them. I highly recommend these jeans!

Hi Leanne. Love your posts! The description for your white scoopneck tee says semi sheer? Is that the case? Do you have to wear a tank under it? Thanks!
Laura,
Thank you for your comment! It’s not a thick tee, but I don’t have to wear it with a tank. It’s just right in my opinion.
I was disappointed that the jewelry was not available in silver, which is all I wear. Any alternatives?
