How To Host A Summer Celebration & My Peach Sweet Tea Recipe

When it comes to preparing for your Summer celebrations and get togethers, you want everything to look great for your family and friends, but where do you start? First, I decided on a theme for my get together. Since it is the first of the Summer, I wanted a “Summer Celebration” theme to kick off the Summer season. I went to Walmart and found the most darling dinnerware serving pieces for my backyard table. I bought this Mainstays Watermelon Dip Bowl Set, which includes a serving tray in the shape of a long watermelon, along with 3 coordinating bowls for dips. It is BPA free and is dishwasher safe. I also needed a tray, so I bought this Mainstays 15-inch Bamboo Melamine Fruit Decorated Serving Tray. I planned to serve my refreshing Peach Sweet Tea, so I bought this Mainstays 2.5 Quart Double Wall Clear Pitcher, along with a few of these adorable Mainstays 19oz. “Hello Summer” Stemless Wine Glasses, which are so cute for serving iced tea! To bring the look together, I purchased this Mainstays PEVA Tablecloth in a similar teal blue color; I also LOVE this Yellow Lemon Pattern PEVA Tablecloth on Walmart! I bought the food I wanted to serve in my dinnerware pieces and then set my table, Easy-Peazy!

I decided the food and refreshments I wanted to serve, then I purchased them and easily prepared them in the dinnerware I bought from Walmart. I placed everything on the Mainstays PEVA Tablecloth and the celebration was ready to begin! In the Mainstays Watermelon Dip Bowl Set, I added strawberries and grapes to the long dish, then three kinds of fruit dip in the bowls. I placed watermelon and cantalope on the Mainstays 15-inch Bamboo Melamine Fruit Decorated Serving Tray. I poured my Peach Sweet Tea in the Mainstays 2.5 Quart Double Wall Clear Pitcher and served it in the Mainstays 19oz. “Hello Summer” Stemless Wine Glasses.

I bought this adorable Time and Tru Puff Sleeve Top in the “aqua spring” color and these Time and Tru Denim Shorts with Cuffed Hem. I’m also wearing these No Boundries Flatform Two-Buckle Sandals in “white” with a cushioned footbed. I can’t wait to wear these sandals to the beach! Everything in my outfit is budget-friendly and ready to order on Walmart!

Peach Sweet Tea
A refreshing sweet iced tea with fresh pureed peaches.
- 5 bags Black Tea
- 3 cups Hot Water
- 2 1/2 cups Cold Water
- 1 2/3 cup Peeled, Diced Peaches
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 Lemon, juiced
- Ice for serving
- sliced peaches for garnish
Steep black tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags. Add ice and cold water.
Puree peaches in a blender, with sugar and lemon juice until smooth. If desired, strain out pulp. I prefer to include the pulp!
Stir peach puree in to tea until blended.
Server in glasses with more ice and garnish with a peach slice. Enjoy!
