Favorite Fall Outfit Formula (Trendy Wednesday Link-up #99)
This is my favorite go-to Fall outfit formula!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I can’t believe it’s already come and gone. Christmas will be here soon. I’m not able to decorate for Christmas yet, because I have my appliances in boxes still in my living room. The contractor came today and installed my refrigerator and starting working again on my kitchen. We’re waiting on the countertops to be installed. This has been a trying time, not having a kitchen. I am ready for my kitchen…to…be…finished!
Now, on to today’s outfit. My favorite outfit formula for the Fall season is: a striped top, puffer vest, denim and riding boots! All are simple, essential pieces, but when you put them all together in an outfit and complete it with a trendy handbag and a statement necklace, you’re ready to go just about anywhere and look great too! Speaking of denim, I could have worn just blue denim with this outfit, but by wearing burgundy jeans, I added a bit of color to this outfit. Being that this is a Fall outfit, olive jeans would look great too.
A striped top, puffer vest and denim are all “essentials” that I always seem to include in my Fall and Winter capsule wardrobes. “Essentials” are those clothes that are basic pieces but go well with other pieces. When you have essentials in your wardrobe, they are the anchors for your outfits. You build your outfits around them. You can even incorporate trendy pieces with essentials to create interest to your outfits.
