Spring Color Trend Forecast (Trendy Wednesday #153)

Spring is just around the corner…the time to wear Spring colors and light layers!  And, it’s time for the Spring Trend Forecast!  I’ve had a few questions from you all as to what will be on trend and which colors will be popular this Spring.  I keep my eye constantly on retailers as they release new products, so I’ve seen some common colors for the Spring.  Pastels will be on trend this Spring!

Spring colors like pinks, greens and blues are back.  These colors are always look fresh!  Instead of the normal pink, I’m seeing muted pinks and light mauves.  There are a few peachy pinks too, which look great on both warm and cool skin tones.  As far as green, I’m seeing a lot of olive and moss green, which is a lighter green.  Of course blues are typical of Spring and I’ve noticed there are a lot of light blues and chambrays.

Retailers such as Old Navy, Gap and Loft have debuted their Spring product lines.  I’ve seen several tops at Old Navy that I would love to have that would work well in a capsule wardrobe, like this chambray ruffle yoke top, this creme colored embroidered tunic and this blue striped bell sleeve blouse.  A few other colors to note for Loft new releases are mustard yellow, melon red and turquoise, which would also be pretty for Spring.

  2. Yay! I love those colors! Thank you for sharing. It helps when we’re out there shopping sales to look for colors coming up in the next season. 🙂

  3. I love the forecasted colors! As an auburn redhead I am particularly excited about the greens ! I can’t wait to buy your Spring ebook!

  4. Ashley, wow near the 80’s already where you live! Thank you for asking about the Athleisure Spring eBook. It will be released around the middle of February.

  5. Hi Leanne, I can’t wait for your new books to come out! Thanks for the color previews. I’m just wondering how the new colors forecasted for Spring and Summer will coordinate with core neutrals like my black, navy and grey essentials . , it’s hard to picture them working with the new colors.
