1 Base, 10 Outfits: How To Style Multiple Outfits With Black Pants And A White Tee

A white tee and black pants are wardrobe staples that are essential to have in your closet. These are two pieces you can use together to build multiple outfits. You can wear them in several seasons of the year by adding layers and shoes creating different looks. To get the most out of our wardrobes, we need to have several wardrobe staples in neutral colors that we can use as foundation pieces to create our outfits.

In today’s post, I am sharing how to add different layers and shoes to a white tee and black pants to create ten outfits. I am using this white long sleeve tee, but you can also use this white short sleeve tee instead!

For the bottoms, I am using these Quince Ultra-Stretch Ponte Bootcut Pants in “black” (also come in “navy”), but you can also use these black jeans (investment) or these black jeans (budget) if you prefer. There are several styles of outfits in this post, including smart casual outfits you can wear to work and casual outfits.

This is the most organized and informative site like this I have found and I can’t thank you enough! 🤗♥️
Can I ask if you’ve done a color analysis? Your colors even look like mine. 😄 I took the free color analysis quiz that came with your free mini-capsule when I subscribed to your site. It determined that I am a Light/Warm/Soft. I am a neutral gal and I love that your capsules build around the neutrals.

Blessings to you and thank you again for that encouraging verse! It was exactly what I needed today! 🙏♥️

  5. Amy,

Thank you for your kind words! My coloring is Soft Summer. When I have a tan in the summer, I can wear black and earthy tones more easily.

  6. Thank you Leanne!!! Love all of these ideas. Your posts are always so helpful. Thank you for including a pant that has a 34 inch inseam. These are often hard to find. 🙂

  7. I agree with Cynthia, Renae, Amy and Jill-your posts are wonderful! I look forward to receiving them each week to see what you have put together. IF I had to pick a favorite (or two) from these ten outfits, I’d go with #1/#10. Leopard accents are always so fun. I admire how you can take a simple black pant/plain white tee and use it for every occasion. As always, good job!

  8. So simple and so wearable. I am totally amazed at how just a few changes and the complete vibe of the outfit is changed. I love everything about them. I can definitely see myself in every one of those outfits. Completely brilliant. Thank you.

  11. Thank you, Leanne for your reply! Yes, I was given a color analysis years ago and it determined I was a Soft Summer! 😀 I love that we have the same coloring (only my hair is now its natural silver 😉). I love my chic black, but you’re right, it looks best on me in summer. Can’t totally part with my black no matter what! 😆

And I’ve actually had the Quince pants saved in my faves for awhile now. Time to commit. 😄 I love their cashmere sweaters too!

    ~Blessings

  15. Hi, Leanne!

Thank you for this post! Many women have a white tee and black pants in our closets, and it’s easy to get into a style rut with respect to how to…well…style this combination. Please keep these posts coming!

  16. Hi Leanne,
Thank you for this post. I have a lot of these items in my closet. I think we are used to putting the same items together. This gives me inspiration to take a base outfit that I like and add other items to mix it up and make it interesting. The outfits I liked best were #1 and #2. This was a little difficult because I liked them all.
