An Update: Remaining Fall 2019 E-Books and An Update On My Daughter

Life has been very busy for our family lately. It has been filled with hospital stays, doctor visits and nurse/health care visits, which has made time go by very quickly!

As most of you may know, my daughter has several brain tumors that have also spread to her spine. She was diagnosed with the first tumor in her thalamus last year, May 2018. Since then, she has developed several more tumors. She has been on different forms of chemotherapy and was involved in a clinical trial.

A few weeks ago we had to send her to the ER because she was having multiple seizures. The doctors found where the tumors in her brain have spread and she also had developed a new tumor. After about a week in the hospital, they sent her home.

She had a couple of episodes this week: Tuesday she passed out when she was standing, had nausea and also some confusion when she talked. This morning, we and the nurse thinks she had a seizure.

At this point, she is hardly able to get out of bed because of the dizziness and lightheadedness. We are having to constantly care for her, coordinate visits with her nurse, communicate with her doctor, manage her medications, etc.

I have published 3 Capsule Wardrobe E-Books for the Fall 2019 season: The Teacher, Essential and French Minimalist. I started working on the Workwear E-Book, but due to the time needed the past several days in caring for my daughter, I am unable to finish it.

I will be unable to publish the remainder of the Capsule Wardrobe E-Books for the Fall 2019 Season, The ones I will not be published are: the Workwear, Stay At Home Mom, Athleisure and Men’s E-Books.

Also, I may not be active as much on ClassyYetTrendy.com or on social media, since I don’t know what the future holds at this point. My family and I need to devote our time in caring for my daughter and I need to rest myself (it’s a very tiring and emotionally stressful time).

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this time.

  56. This must have been an extraordinarily difficult post to send. I suspect all your subscribers will wait patiently for you to be ready while you focus on life’s most important priority: love. And NO BODY is disappointed about missing out on a few capsules – last season was so great and is still in style!! From Down Under, I hope you receive even more love than you feel capable of giving, and that you are well sustained in provision and faith. Your daughter is in the best hands – with parents making the best decisions possible – as she runs this challenging race.

  57. Sweet Lady, your daughter is the most important thing right now. We all understand that and wish you comfort, strength, prayer, and love. Please do not at all concern yourself with anything else but your family. Hugs and prayers sent your way.

  59. Leanne,

I have been a huge fan of your capsule wardrobe approach for the past 2+ years. Thank you for being an amazing resource to us professional business ladies as we take on the world in style without breaking our budgets. Your common sense, minimalist style goes the distance.

My thoughts are with you and your family. I hope that your daughter goes the distance with you and that there is a bright future together. Please take care of yourself and your family and thank you for the inspiration you’ve shared with this community.

If you are a person of faith, believe what He says in Hebrews 13:5-6 “. . . for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my Helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”
