The #NSale Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on now! I am SUPER EXCITED about this sale, probably the most excited I have been in all the Anniversary Sales that I have shopped in the past. With Covid going on right now, it is so good to have something positive to get excited about! So, Nordstrom if you are reading this, Thank You for having the Anniversary Sale!

What Is The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is considered the most important sale of the year. While Nordstrom holds half-yearly sales throughout the year, this sale has become legendary among Nordstrom customers who enjoy outstanding savings on the most exciting new fall and winter merchandise. There’s also summer merchandise on sale too at deep discounts!

The Anniversary Sale is when I buy my core closet essentials that I use in my capsule wardrobes! Essentials like tees, jeans, sweaters, cardigans and shoes. If there are any clothes or shoes in my wardrobe that need replacing, the sale is the perfect opportunity to buy quality-made items at lower prices.

When Is The Anniversary Sale?

Early Access to the sale is currently going on for cardholders with Icon, Ambassador, Influencer and Insider status. Insider cardholders can begin shopping today, August 13! Then, on August 19, everyone can shop (those that are not a Nordstrom cardholder).

The Try-On Session

I had a HUGE order, so only half of it arrived. I tried on everything I received in the 1st shipment and created a few outfits for you all to see how to mix and match items in the sale!

First, I wanted to mention if anything is not available in your size or is showing “sold out”, keep checking back because in past anniversary sales, I have seen Nordstrom restock items. It is not guaranteed for every item, but they will restock some items either by replenishing stock or restocking customer returns.

For size reference, my height is 5’9″ and I weigh 160 lbs. For tops, I typically wear a size Medium (10) or Large (12), depending on the brand and style of the top (slim fit I usually wear a Large). For bottoms, my normal size is a 10. My shoe size is 9.

In the first outfit, I’m wearing this darling Colorblock Cozy Pullover (size medium) in the leopard/cream combo. It’s currently out of stock in regular sizes, but is available in Plus Sizes. There is also a Diagonal Colorblock Pullover in the sale that you may like. I’m wearing it with these KUT From The Kloth Button Fly Ankle Skinny Jeans (size 10) that are so trending! They have a bit of stretch to them which makes them easy to wear and have a slight bit of distressing with a raw hem, So Cute! Let’s talk about these darling Vince Camuto Gradina Booties in “tortilla suede” (size 9). These have been a huge seller in the sale and I’ve seen lots of my fellow fashion bloggers wearing them! They come in several other colors and patterns too. Isn’t this just the cutest Satin Trim Wool Hat?! It is the “tea rose” color, which a deep mauvy-brown color, which is perfect for the Fall season. Tory Burch made a few bags just for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale again this year and they are all GORGEOUS! I’m wearing the Tory Burch Carson Stripe Crossbody. You may also like the Kira Pebbled Crossbody, which is very similar but without the stripes. That one comes in “moose” and “pink moon” colors. I’m also wearing the Kendra Scott Sydney Charm Bar Necklace in “mixed metal”, which is I think a special edition for the sale.

One of my favorite colors, blush pink is next. I’m wearing the Leith Long Cardigan (size Medium) in “pink adobe”. The cardigan is SO SOFT and surprisingly lightweight. It’s a long cardigan, but not too long, which looks great if you are wearing booties, tall boots or flats. It comes in several other colors as well; my other favorites are the oatmeal and olive colors. This All In Favor V-Neck Tee in “white” has a nice drape which is a great layering piece for cardigans and jackets. I’m wearing a Large, but should have ordered a Medium as it is a bit big on me. I usually don’t wear distressed jeans, but these Mother Looker Ripped Jeans (size 10) fit great and I kinda like the distressing on the knees. When I first put them on, they were a little tight (probably from eating a few extra sweets lately), but the more I moved around in them, they loosened up a bit, so I would say go with your normal size. I’m wearing the Vince Camuto Gradina Booties in “tortilla suede” (size 9) and the Kendra Scott Sydney Charm Bar Necklace in “mixed metal”.

One of my most favorite patterns is leopard print and I’m loving this Caslon Rounded V-Neck Tee (size Medium) in “ivory-black animal dot”. The leopard pattern seems to be unavailable in the short sleeve version but other colors are available. It is available in the Long Sleeve style, so I definitely recommend this one for the Fall and Winter. I just LOVE this BP. Open Stitch Cardigan (size Medium) in “beige oatmeal light heather”. I was torn on which color to buy, as the gray, olive and rust colors are SO pretty, but ordered this oatmeal color and I absolutely love it. The pointelle detail on the front and the sleeves and the ribbing gives this cardigan texture and a cozy vibe. How darling are these Caslon Aidy Water Resistant Wedge Sneakers?! For the past two years I have tried on wedge sneakers but never found a pair I really liked, but these, OMG, I LOVE! I’m wearing the “tan camel” color in my normal size 9. They are lightweight and comfy and are a great alternative to wearing booties all the time. I’m also wearing the Mother Looker Ripped Jeans (size 10) and the Kendra Scott Sydney Charm Bar Necklace in “mixed metal”.

These Zella Live In Jogger Pants in “black” (size Medium) are so versatile! Here I’m wearing them dressed up with a tee, jacket and booties, but see the next photo how I’m wearing them with a cozy tunic and slippers for a “work at home” outfit. These lightweight melangé-knit joggers have a slim profile, making them great for either wearing out or wearing at home. I’m wearing the All In Favor V-Neck Tee in “white” and also the Quilted Panel Faux Suede Moto Jacket in “buff” (size Large). I LOVE the color of this jacket and it is SO soft and fits perfectly (washable too). I usually size up in jackets, blazers and coats for wearing sweaters and layers underneath. These Dolce Vita Bo Booties in “tan/black suede” (size 9) have a gorgeous leopard pattern and tiny silver studs around the edges. They also come in black leather. This Tory Burch Carson Convertible Bag in “black” is probably my favorite bag in the sale. I have been wanting a gold chain black bag for a while now and this one is perfect (see below for a closeup of the bag). It is also comes in “moose”, a rich brown color. Here are the Zella Live In Jogger Pants in “black” (size Medium) styled for a “work at home” outfit. I’m wearing it with this Gibson Cozy V-Neck Tunic in “heather grey” (size Medium), also comes in other colors. If you will be in a Zoom meeting, throw on a black or plaid blazer with a statement necklace and you’re ready for your meeting! These UGG Fluffette Slippers in the “goat” color are very soft and cozy warm. This color is almost sold out, but other colors, including a cream color are available.

OMG, I LOVE the color of this Halogen Open Front Cardigan in the “pink compact” color (size Medium)! It’s a deeper pink color and the shade of pink is just gorgeous. I love my Halogen burgundy cardigan like this one from last year’s sale so I had to get this one. This year’s cardigan comes in 5 colors to choose from. I’m wearing my 1.State Chiffon Cami that I bought last year in white (size Medium) and is included the anniversary sale in “cloud”, an ivory color, and “rich black” colors. I also have on the KUT From The Kloth Button Fly Ankle Skinny Jeans (size 10). I am excited to see the Steve Madden Feather Leopard Loafers (size 9) are included in the sale! They are limited in sizes, but are also available here for 35% off currently. I bought mine last year and wore them so much and also have a brown snake print pair. Here’s another way to wear the Tory Burch Carson Convertible Bag in “black”, as a shoulder bag (although I have it draped on my arm). I absolutely LOVE this Madewell Disc Chain Necklace in “gold”. It looks like is currently sold out, but I found a nearly exact one also at Nordstrom and comes in gold, rose gold and silver.

I love the style of this BB Dakota Faux Leather Jacket in “black” (size Large), also comes in “cherrywood”. The open lapel and asymmetrical style fits nicely right at my hips. It is only $64.90 in the anniversary sale! I’m also wearing my Socialite Thermal Long Sleeve Top in a beige color that I bought last year and is available in several colors in the sale. I recommend sizing up as my top is a Medium but a Large would fit better.
