Yesterday was my birthday and I wore my favorite color…blush!  When I was in my 20’s, my favorite color was a sage green.  I went through a few years where it was pink.  Now it’s blush.  Blush is kind of like pink, but has a peach tone to it.  I also have brand colors here on ClassyYetTrendy.com as, you got it…blush and black.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday by working at my job all day (ugh!) and eating some delicious cake with my co-workers.  My hubby always orders me flowers for my birthday/Valentine’s Day and this year my flowers arrived with a box of Sherrie’s Berries (chocolate covered strawberries).  Last night, my hubby took my daughter and I to eat a nice steak dinner by candlelight.  Yep, when you have children, they get to have a nice Valentine meal with you too!  We all enjoyed it and the steaks were delicious.

Now, on to today’s post.  I guess you may know by now, with my Spring Trends Report and 4 Ways To Wear a Bell Sleeve Top, that bell sleeves are “in”.  If you like them, they can be a nice addition to your wardrobe.  I’m not one to readily jump on the “trend wagon”, but I just had to incorporate this bell sleeve top I’m wearing into my Spring capsule wardrobe.  I also included it in The Essential Capsule Wardrobe: Spring 2017 Collection e-Book, which guides you from start-to-finish on creating your own capsule wardrobe, has all the clothes and shoes shown that you would need for your capsule wardrobe, Dozens of outfit ideas and more!  This bell sleeve top comes in four colors: “Red Pepper”, “Pink Smoke”, “Navy Stripe” and “Black”.  If you like to layer clothes like I do, bell sleeve tops can be kind of tricky.  Get a bell sleeve that lays well and is not too poofy.  That way you won’t look like you have “Popeye” arms when you wear a jacket or cardigan over it.

These white jeans are my favorite white jeans I’ve owned.  I tried 2 pair before these.  The first pair was too thin and was kind of see-through, the second pair was too stiff, but these Articles of Society jeans from Nordstrom are just right (I kind of sound like Goldilocks, huh?).  They fit just right, with a little stretchiness, are not see-through, the right length, they are perfect, even the price was very affordable, at $59!

These Gemma cap-toe flats are new.  They remind me of Chanel shoes, but are much less expensive.  I wore them for the first time yesterday since the temp was 67 degrees!  They are super comfy and I think I could wear them all day.  If you are looking to add a blush pair of ballet shoes to your wardrobe, but need a more budget-friendly version, this pair from Old Navy are beautiful!

  1. You look gorgeous! I have some light pink items that don’t seem to look good on me so I’m going to try the blush. It’s more sophisticated.
Love the link up #16 with the skirt and high tops! Wish I could carry off something like that .
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Thank you so much for the feature, Leanne! I’m a huge fan of blush, and I love the extra dose of femininity in your ruffle sleeves.
    Happy hump day!
