A few months ago when I started working on the Essential Capsule Wardrobe Winter 2017 e-Book, one of the first items I spotted was this sky blue turtleneck sweater from J. Crew Factory. It instantly caught my attention and I just had to include it in the e-Book. I knew if I really liked it, surely other women would like it too. Usually, I’m not too keen on wearing tight-fitting turtleneck tops, but this one is a loose fitting one. It still has the look of a turtleneck, but it still comfortable. It is still available online, as well as a few other colors like this heather natural color, red, royal blue and black.
I’ve had these Articles of Society white jeans from Nordstrom for several seasons and they are still my favorites, plus they are only $59! They fit like designer jeans, with a slight stretch to them, but are priced to fit almost in any budget. I highly recommend them!
And, these over-the-knee boots, OMG! They are a beautiful neutral brown color (“New Mushroom Suede”) and have just the right heel height. Because I’m 5’9″, it’s hard for me to wear high heels. If I wear too high of a heel I feel like I’m walking on stilts, so I avoid any heels over 3″. These boots have a 2 1/4″ block heel and are really easy to walk in. The top part of the boot stays upright too. Sometimes over-the-knee boots have a tendency to drop down slightly but these hold their shape nicely. They are super comfortable too! They are little pricey at $198, but are definitely worth the investment.
